The Capital Healthcare and Employment Council (CHEC) provides a venue for communication and collaboration among capital area healthcare organizations, educators and partners to capture the most useful, effective and innovative workforce development tools to support high quality healthcare.
The Capital Healthcare and Employment Council initially formed in 2006 as a Regional Skills Alliance (RSA), grant funded by the Department of Labor and Economic Growth to address employer’s workforce needs. Today, the council is a fully self- supporting entity which has expanded efforts to respond to the trends and human resources.
CHEC partners with Capital Area Michigan Works! (CAMW!) to provide comprehenisve business services and training supports in order to promote and grow the workforce of one of the regions fastest growing industries, healthcare.
